In 2019, 10-year-old Declan Cassidy wanted to start a sock drive to help the Homeless. That year he collected 1,000 pairs of socks! He personally handed out donations to: Never Surrender Hope, Women Against Abuse and the Veteran’s Multi-Service Center. His compassion to help others continues to grow. This year, in 2o22, Chick-fil-A Whitman Square and Somerton are proud to support Declan in his mission to help end homelessness.
Give the gift of happy feet and warm their soles. New socks are being collected now through December 15, 2022 for the homeless and veterans in our area. Socks are the most needed and least donated items for homeless shelters. Please help support Declan’s Socks for the Streets vision to help end homelessness.

Our collection bin at Somerton FSU can be found in the Dining Room near the front counter. At Whitman Square, the collection bin can be found in the lobby facing Roosevelt Blvd.
